Journal History

Nirmana runs with ISSN (Print) 0215-0905 at the beginning of its establishment. Nirmana was named from 1999, then the name has been changed to Jurnal Desain Komunikasi Visual Nirmana in 2018. Due to the changes in national accreditation rules around 2017 which require every journal to have an online ISSN, then Jurnal Desain Komunikasi Visual Nirmana have an online ISSN, that is 2721-5695. In that year, "Nirmana" title in ISSN Print has not been changed / updated, so there is a difference between the title in ISSN Online and ISSN Print.

Due to considerations of the development of journal in digital version, in 2022 "Nirmana" in ISSN Print is proposed to be closed / discontinued. So, currently the publication of this journal is only in online / digital version and uses the title Jurnal Desain Komunikasi Visual Nirmana.

Jurnal Desain Komunikasi Visual Nirmana is indexed in the Science and Technology Index (SINTA) and ranked 4 on 2018.

This journal also change the writing guidelines for authors as well as the Journal Template started in issue in 2024 so it is more distinctive.
